Locust Stake Receives Donation and Support from Heidelberg Materials

Heidelberg Materials has recently partnered with GARTRA to support trail rehabilitation efforts at Locust Stake OHV Park in Toccoa, GA.

GARTRA would like to extend a sincere thank you to Heidelberg Materials for their generous donation of 10s of thousands of pounds of aggregates. This contribution includes the cost of transportation, delivery, and dispersion of gravel to repair the parking lot. Additionally, Heidelberg Materials has offered to provide even more gravel for the trails and provide the use of a skid steer to assist with transporting materials throughout the trail system.

We would also like to recognize volunteers Emery Victor and Trail Captain James Rouhani for coordinating these efforts with Cory Sheriff of Heidelberg Materials.

This partnership represents a significant milestone for Locust Stake, GARTRA, and the local OHV community. After being closed for 12 years due to erosion concerns, these contributions are vital to rehabilitating and maintaining the trails and supporting local tourism.

Thank you, Corey Sheriff of Heidelberg Materials for your generous support of GARTRA and Locust Stake.
