Since 2019 GARTRA has been able to increase membership and volunteer participation at work days by over 280%.
Why is this important? Each of GARTRA’s volunteer hours logged is equivalent to over $15 in-kind match against RTP, Recreational Trails Program, and grant monies. The RTP grants are what the USFS applies for to get big dollars to do major work at each of the riding areas we maintain. In addition, volunteers that log 20 or more hours are eligible for an Annual Park Pass valid at any of the USFS ORV parks in Georgia.
